Mary is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #11618) on her way to licensure. Mary is passionate about allowing her clients to find inner peace, a better sense of self, and self-compassion. Mary is an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist with an understanding of the importance of how human diversity impacts the client’s experiences in life. Mary utilizes a holistic approach to therapy including different types of theories to fit each individual’s needs. However, Mary utilizes EMDR, TF-CBT, and the humanistic approach in her practice the most.

Mary has 8 years of experience of overall working with children, families, and individuals suffering from mental health and substance abuse disorders. Prior to working as a therapist, Mary also worked as a mental health case manager and group facilitator with incarcerated individuals and individuals on probation and parole who also struggled with severe mental illness. She graduated from California State University, Fresno with her Bachelors in Science in Criminology and also graduated from Walden University with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
